Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist/Project Engineer under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.
Minimum Qualification: PhD or (M.Sc + 3 Yrs of Exp.) / M.Tech or (B.Tech. + 3 Yrs of Exp)
Desirable Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. / M.Tech. with thesis work carried out in areas related to organic semiconductor and device fabrication and characterization. Five year post PhD experience or ten years post Master’s degree experienced involving organic semiconductor device fabrication,, especially the fabrication of organic solar cells, handling of glove boxes, vacuum equipment and device processing equipment will looked at favourably. Knowledge and understanding of film characterisation by XRD, SEM, TEM, and other relevant techniques.
Essential Experience: Experience in working with a team on a research & development project. Candidate should have hands-on working experience with organic photovoltaic device fabrication. Characterisation of solar cells including solar cell parameters extraction and external quantum efficiency measurement and understanding is a must. He/she should know electronic material characterization such as surface profilometer, AFM, photoluminescence (PL) and Kelvin probe measurements.
Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- (per month based on qualification)
Term of Appointment: The minimum time period should not be less than 11 months and maximum three years or till the end of project, whichever is earlier)
