Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of Senior Project Associate under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Name of Post: Senior Project Associate

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech (CC/EE/EC) + I year relevant exp.

Desirable Qualification:

  1. Strong command in writing production level code in Java including skills in debugging, performance analysis/optimization and memory usage optimization
  2. Experience working with Relational and non Relational databases and understanding their data models and performance tradeoffs
  3. Worked with real time web/mobile applications and event-driven architectures
  4. Understanding of caching techniques
  5. Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, micro-services, and distributed systems
  6. Knowledge of REST paradigm.
  7. Solid engineering principles and a clear understanding of data structures and algorithms.

About the core problem:

  • 700K kids lost their lives due to fake medicines (IPM)!
  • About 70% dietary supplements sold across Inda area fake, unregistered and unapproved: ASSOCHAN
  • The impact is huge in each and every sector, be it pharma, auto or liquor and counterfeiting affects all the stakeholders in the supply chain, be it government, brand or end consumer.

About the product:
We developed the world's first offline copy-proof tags which can be read even by 4MP mobile phone camera without internet connectivity.

To increase the value proposition, features like user data analytics, loyalty programs, and AR are added in the core product.

Salary and Accommodation: Rs.21600-1800-54000 (based on past experience and achievements). The selected candidate will be eligible to apply for accommodation within IITK campus (RA Hostel- “As per Institute norms”).

Duration of appointment: 1 Year Contract or till end of Project whichever is earlier
