Position for Project Scientist

Applications are invited for the temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist under the Sindhu Central University Project at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Academic Qualification & Required Expertise:

• Ph.D. or Postgraduate + 3 years relevant Experience in Economics, Energy Sciences/Physics, or MTech in Energy Technology/mechanical or allied areas.
• Prior experience in policy research, particularly in the energy domain, is desirable. Internships or academic research experience will be given due weightage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with experience in interdisciplinary research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely is a must for the post.

Role Description: Your role will involve supporting energy policy research efforts. You will assist in analyzing government energy policies, evaluating their impacts, and providing evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making. Your work will include conducting thorough research on energy policies, regulations, and market trends, analyzing data, and assessing the implications of policy changes in the energy sector. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing detailed reports, writing opinion pieces, policy briefs, and presentations while ensuring clarity and accuracy in presenting multi-faceted information.

Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on a temporary and contractual basis initially for one year likely to be extended based on their performance for the next year.

Number of positions: One

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
