Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure legal compliance across all aspects of program operations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements related to program implementation, including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and service agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support programmatic decision-making and ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
• Work closely with program teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for program implementation, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into program design and execution.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that program activities are carried out in compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
• Monitor program progress and performance, identifying legal issues and providing guidance to address them in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including program staff, management, and legal counsel, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration on legal matters.
• Collaborate with external partners, including government agencies, nonprofits, and legal experts, to leverage resources and expertise in support of program objectives.
• Represent the organization in legal and regulatory forums, meetings, and negotiations, advocating for the organization's interests and objectives.

Travel

• As and when required, across the country for project monitoring and execution as well as for coordination with geographically distributed teams

Qualification

• Post Graduate + 5 years of experience Or CS/CA +3 years of experience

Desirable

• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to programmatic activities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate legal risks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals.
