Purpose of Job

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional for MedTech CoE to join our team. This position will lead MedTech CoE and oversee the development, implementation, and management of cutting-edge medical technologies and innovations. This role is responsible for setting strategic direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical tech solutions that align with the organization's mission and goals. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and lead efforts to stay at the forefront of medical technology advancements.

Main Duties

• The key aspects of the role will involve:
• Develop and execute MedTech CoE’s strategic vision.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage projects, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and represent the organization in the industry.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics.

Knowledge and experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the medical technology industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing innovative medical technology projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of the medical device lifecycle, including design, development, regulatory approval, and
• commercialization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and ability to translate technological advancements into business opportunities.
• Experience with regulatory bodies such as the FDA, EMA, and other global regulatory agencies.

Travel

• As and when required, across the country for project monitoring and execution as well as for coordination with geographically distributed teams

Qualification

• Post graduate degree + 8 years of relevant experience Or Graduate with 15 years of relevant experience at appropriate level.

Desirable

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field. 

Or

• PhD or MBA in said discipline will be preferred.

Key competencies

• Develop and implement the strategic vision for the MedTech CoE 
• Drive innovation in medical technology through research and development initiatives. 
• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
• Oversee project management processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of medical tech solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
• Ensure all products and solutions meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficacy.
