Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and procurement of supplies.
• Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage laboratory budgets and resources, including staffing, equipment, and consumables.
• Train laboratory staff on experimental techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, including experimental data, inventory, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between laboratory staff, researchers, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with advancements in laboratory techniques, technologies, and safety protocols.

Travel

• As and when required, across the country for project monitoring and execution as well as for coordination with geographically distributed teams

Qualification

• Ph.D Or Post graduate degree + 3 years of relevant experience

Desirable

• Certification in laboratory management or relevant professional certification.
• Experience with specialized laboratory techniques or instrumentation.
• Familiarity with research grant proposal development and funding agencies.
• Experience working in an academic or research institution
