International Workshop

Earth System Processes Related to Gujrat Earthquake Using Space Technology

IIT Kanpur is organizing an International Workshop on Earth System Processes Related to Gujrat Earthquake Using Space Technology from 27 - 29 January 2003 on the 2nd Anniversary of the disastorous Gujrat earthquake event i.e. January 26, 2001 which took about 20000 lives and huge loss of properties. Workshop is coordinated by Prof. Ramesh P. Singh (Organising Secretary) & Dr. Javed N. Malik (Organising Joint Secretary), Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur. Aim of the proposed Workshop is to bring scientists on one platform to account the changes observed after Gujarat earthquake. The workshop is sponsored by Ministry of Home Affairs, AICTE, COSPAR, CSIR, DOS, DOD, DST, INSA, ISRO.
