Maple 18 Installation Guide

Getting Started

The Maple 18 software is available for download from the CC FTP site.
Download Maple 18

Download the file to a local drive (e.g., D:\), and run the setup.

License Configuration

License Server: akash2.cc.iitk.ac.in (Port: 25000)

Campus network connectivity is required. Configure DNS Suffixes if using static IP (how-to).

Installation Walkthrough

Step 1

Run the Maple 18 installer ("Maple18WindowsX64Installer.exe") and click on "Next" button.

Step 2

Select "I accept the agreement" of Maple 18 and click on "Next" button

Step 3

Specify the installation folder of Maple 18 (Default folder is recommended) and click on "Next" button.

Step 4

Select "Yes" to create shortcut of Maple 18 on Desktop and click on "Next" button.

Step 5

Select the Matlab installation if required and click "Next" button.

Step 6

Choose the Type of Licensing as "Network License" and click "Next" button.

Step 7

Select "Single Server" and click "Next" button.

Step 8

Specify the License server detail and port number (License Server: akash2.cc.iitk.ac.in and Port No. 25000) and click "Next" button.
To Run Maple 18, Campus Network connectivity in required. Add DNS Suffixes if IP address is "Static". To configure DNS Suffixes Click Here

Step 9

Select options if required and click "Next" button.

Step 10

Click "Next" button to continiue the Maple 18 installation.

Step 11

Installation in progress.

Finish

Click "Finish" button.
