Applications are invited for one post of Project Scientist in a Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) sponsored project titled, “OXIDATION OF GRAPHITE AND PROTECTIVE COATINGS: MULTI LENGTH SCALE ABRIDGMENT” in the Department of Materials Sciences & Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. or M.Sc + 3 years experience.

Work Experience:
The applicant should have a strong background and knowledge on oxidation of graphite and other ceramics. Good knowledge of plasma spraying and Spark Plasma Sintering is also required. A synergistic material-chemistry background is desirable. Working knowledge of computer-based office applications (LabView, MS Office, etc.) is a must.

Salary Range: Rs. 22000-2200-44000.

The post is purely temporary, and is for duration of one year.
