Saikat Ghosh

Dr. Saikat Ghosh joined the department in 2012. He got his doctoral degree from Cornell University, USA under supervision of Prof. Alex Gaeta. Subsequently, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Center of Ultra Cold Atoms(CUA) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and at the Center of Nano-Scale Systems(CNS), Cornell University.

Dr. Ghosh is an experimental physicist with primary interest in quantum optics and precision spectroscopy. Currently he is working on developing a cold-atom system as an efficient source for quantum states of light to probe nano-materials and molecules. He has also a strong interest in
aspects of quantum measurement,information theory and single particle imaging beyond the standard quantum limit.
