Dr. Soumik Mukhopadhyay joined the Department in November, 2011. He received his doctoral degree from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (Jadavpur University), Kolkata in 2009. Later on, he was in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore as a Centenary Postdoctoral Fellow during 2009-11. He is an experimental physicist with research interests in the area of spintronics, nanomagnetism, physics of complex oxide materials, etc.
