Mangal Kothari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur. His research interest include robotic, machine learning, optimal control, computer vision, and multi-agent systems, with particular emphasis on aerospace vehicles.

Ketan Rajawat (S'06-M'12) received his B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, in 2007, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. His research interests are in the broad areas of signal processing, robotics, and communications networks, with particular emphasis on distributed optimization and online learning. His current research focuses on the development and analysis of distributed and asynchronous optimization algorithms, online convex optimization algorithms, stochastic optimization algorithms, and the application of these algorithms to problems in machine learning, communications, and smart grid systems. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor with the IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. He is also the recipient of the 2018 INSA Medal for Young Scientists and the 2019 INAE Young Engineer Award.

Dr. Tanmay Rajpurohit
Genpact

Tanmay Rajpurohit received the B. Tech. degree in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, in 2001, the M.S. degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, in 2002, and the M.A. degree in economics from New York University, New York, NY, in 2005. In 2005 he returned to India to bolster the Nation's manufacturing and engineering sector. In 2013 he returned to the US to pursue his doctoral studies at Georgia Tech. In the interim he received the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Georgia Tech in 2016 and the M.S. degree in computer science specializing in machine learning along with a PhD degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech in 2018. Before joining Genpact digital team Tanmay Rajpurohit was working at Oak Ridge National Labs as postdoctoral research associate. At ORNL Tanmay Rajpurohit was elected president of Oak Ridge Postdoc Association and member of Postdoc Program Advisory Committee. Tanmay is currently leading the research and development on state-of-the-art ML/AI models and their implementation into CORA AI products. His research interests include nonlinear and stochastic systems, adaptive control, optimization, stochastic games, machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence and deep learning.

Dr. Kaivalya Bakshi
Southwest Research Institute

Kaivalya Bakshi graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA with MS (2014) and Phd (2018) degrees in Aerospace Engineering. His interests lie in the inter-disciplinary areas of controls, robotics and autonomous systems and has previously worked in large-scale multi-agent stochastic and optimal control with a focus on networked systems including mean field games. In the past few years he has worked with the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, MA and GE Research, Niskayuna, NY on UAVs, autonomous trains, laser-metal 3D printing and augmented reality and is currently working with the Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas on real-time planning-control via MPC for L4 vehicles and control system design for a mobile manipulator.

Dr. Ashwin Kalyan
Allen Institute for AI

Ashwin Kalyan is a research scientist at Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence. His primary research interest is machine reasoning - specifically, designing AI systems that can perform complex mathematical and algorithmic problem solving. He obtained his PhD from Georgia Tech and before that completed his bachelors from NITK Surathkal.

Mr. Venkata Ramana Makkapati
Georgia Tech

Venkata Ramana Makkapati is a doctoral candidate in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. He applies techniques from optimal control, RL, and differential games to address problems pertaining to autonomous vehicles, emphasizing safe path planning and airspace security. He received the B.Tech. from IIT Madras in 2014, and the M.Tech. from IIT Kanpur in 2016, both in Aerospace Engineering. Previously, he held internship positions at Foresight AI (a self-driving car technology start-up in Silicon Valley), CSIR - National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, and Mahindra & Mahindra, India. Ramana is an FAA certified Private Pilot in the category Airplane Single Engine Land.

Mr. Muni Sreenivas Pydi
University of Wisconsin-Madison

Muni Sreenivas Pydi is a PhD candidate in ECE at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, advised by Prof. Varun Jog. His research investigates the theoretical limits of adversarial robustness in machine learning, and its relation to information theory and optimal transport. Previously, he has worked on statistical learning on graphs with Prof. Ambedkar Dukkipati at IISc Bangalore. Muni did his B.Tech from IIT Madras, and has also worked as an engineer at Samsung R&D Bangalore.

Mr. Vishnu Lokhande
University of Wisconsin-Madison

Vishnu Lokhande is a doctoral candidate in Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He works at the interface of Computer Vision and Machine Learning on one end and numerical optimization on the other, in the context of high impact needs in fairness/ethical algorithms, data pooling and harmonization in biomedical applications and semi-supervised learning. Recently, he completed his research internship from the Computer Vision group at Microsoft Research. Vishnu holds the best paper award at machine learning symposiums at UW and has contributed oral papers at top AI conference venues. He was also one of the finalists for Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship. Prior to his graduate studies, he obtained his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
