Dr. Ankur Dwivedi is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Before that, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Exeter in a project funded by the Royal Society TATA University Research fellowship. He earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India in February 2022. His expertise is the solid mechanics and design stream of mechanical engineering and thrust area of research are Mechanical metamaterials, Solid mechanics and design, Dynamics and vibration control, Piezoelectric-based vibration energy harvesting, 4D Printed metamaterials, Finite element numerical modelling and analysis for Multiphysics problems, Elastic wave physics, Rotordynamics. He is serving as a reviewer in refereed Journals and Conferences such as: Elsevier Engineering Structures, ASME Journal of Mechanism and Robotics, Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, Machines Mechanism and Robotics: Proceedings of iNaCoMM 2019.
