The EE summer camp started as an initiative by the 2003 batch of graduating students of the department of Electrical Engineering. The initial aim was to provide for an introduction to the various fields of Electrical Engineering with the aim of motivating interesting projects in those fields. Thereafter the camp has grown into a full fledged program with a regular course structure which, along with the previous aims, functions as a stepping stone for the participants in getting involved with various research projects in the department. Many students of EE (including the present organizers) have benefited immensely from the program. The program has also served in helping the participants in getting acquainted with the research work of various fields as well as in helping the students decide their future fields of inquiry. It is the hope of the organizers of the camp to follow the example set by previous camps in maintaining the tradition of excellence. |
