6th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HUMAN VALUES IN HIGHER EDUCATION (ICHVHE-17)
Q1. I want to participate - by presenting my views at the conference
Q2. I want to participate - by sending a paper for publication
A1.A2. We are happy to welcome your participation in this conference. It has been called for those who feel the need for VE and are making or want to make effort for humanising education.
Participants can take part actively & constructively in the speaker-led-discussions and panel-discussions so that they leave with concrete plans & specific action items, which can be reviewed in the next conference.
We warmly acknowledge the "historical" efforts which made a difference, and allowed all of us to reach where we are today. Multiple approaches, in this case, are complementary and allow us to reach a larger number of students and hence must be discussed. In a short workshop it is difficult to find time for every approach, particularly those that are “yet to be tried on a large scale”.
The three basic criteria for inclusion are:
1. The effort should satisfy the 4-point guidelines (universal, rational, verifiable and leading to harmony)
2. The effort should have been tried in education concretely and not just be based on theoretical arguments alone
3. The effort should be proliferating, from institution to another, in a natural manner
While this conference is not designed as a debate or paper presentations, you may like to share your views by email. Please use the criteria, above, as a guideline.
Goals of this conference
1. To help participants to recognise the need of Universal Human Values
2. To help participants to learn about the efforts in this area
3. To discuss how we can make collaborative efforts
Best wishes – we look forward to a very active participation, leading to concrete commitment from you.
