Abstract:

Because of unavoidable divergences in quantum field theory Lee and Wick proposed a quantum field theory where each field will have a Lee-Wick partner. These partner fields are exotic as their quanta can have negative norms Consequently Lee and Wick had to construct a meaningful theory which can be made with these exotic partners. Recently the thermodynamics of these Lee-Wick partners were worked out and the results are interesting. The talk will concentrate on the thermodynamics of the Lee-Wick partners and the application of this thermodynamics in the cosmology of the early universe.
