Corporate Social Responsibility funded Projects @IITK - Portescap

SMSS Laboratory have developed a smart stick with the help of Portescap which can be used by the elderly both for the support from sit-to-stand motion as well as for the exercise support. We have also developed a actuator from the funding of Portescap. In this particular product, we have used shape memory alloy wires in a bipennate muscle architecture cabpable of generating a high actuation force.
