SMSS Lab Visit: Guest of Honour Dr. Shriya Srinivasan

On behalf of the CoE: Telemedicine and Robotics, Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology, Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya invited Dr. Shriya Srinivasan for a talk on Neural Interfacing for Sensory Feedback and Neuroprosthetic Control. She also visited our SMSS Laboratory on 04-Jan-2023. Dr. Shriya Srinivasan is a Schmidt Science Fellow and Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a BS in biomedical engineering, with a concentration in biomaterials. Shriya received her doctoral degree in medical engineering and medical physics through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program in January 2020. Shriya will be an assistant professor in the school of engineering and applied science at Harvard University in July 2023.

The lab members showcased demonstration of AgroTech robots, Bioinspired SMA based actuators, Gripper system based on soft robotics, Pipe health monitoring robot, Power Substation Inspection Robot and state-of-the-art Laser Doppler Vibrometer among others. Through this visit, we got a chance to interact and receive critical inputs and feedback from the Dr. Srinivasan.
