The applicants must apply for admission on prescribed forms, which must be sent directly to the convener, DPGC of the department concerned. 
    All admissions will be made on approval by the chairman, Senate 
      Separate selection committee may be appointed to select candidates belonging to different categories, viz, sponsored, regular, QIP, etc.
    The admission of scheduled Castes/ scheduled tribes candidates will be decided without comparing them with the general category candidates.
    Admission to the D.IIT Programme will be called for interview and may in addition be asked to take a written test.
    Admission to the M.Tech. Programme
    Admission to the Ph.D Programme  
    The Selected Candidates who have completed all the examinations including project / thesis examination and the viva voice before the date of registration but are unable to produce the certificate in proof of having passed and secured the minimum qualifying marks, may be considered for provisional admission.  
      The provision in just above  Para.  shall be not applicable in the case of M.Sc / M.Tech students of the institute, who have been provisionally selected for admission to  a Ph.D programme.
