Sponsors and Exhibitors Prospectus

In a novel venture this year, the 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on System Integrity and Maintenance (ACSIM 2004) is being held jointly with VETOMAC-3 (Vibration Engineering and Technology of Machinery).

ACSIM is a biennial international conference dealing with asset management and maintenance related issues. ACSIM brings together academics, practitioners and scientists from around the world, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region to:

  • promote research and practice in the field of Condition Monitoring, Systems Integrity and Asset Management;
  • strengthen the link between academic researchers and industrial practitioners in the field and;
  • showcase state of the art instrumentation and technology in Systems Integrity, Maintenance and Asset Management.

ACSIM 2004 is the fourth of a series. Previous conferences have been held at the Gold Coast, Australia; Nanjing, China; and Cairns, Australia - attracting delegates from over 20 countries.

VETOMAC-3 is the third in a series of conferences being held biennially in India. It is an effort to bring together researchers from diverse areas in vibration engineering and technology. The conference is being held under the auspices of the Vibration Institute of India. VETOMAC has previously been hosted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai in December 2002.

VETOMAC covers issues related to power generation, machinery and structural dynamics, fluid structure interaction, nuclear engineering, Non-Linear vibrations, Rotor Dynamics, Random Vibrations, Wave Propagation, Fluid Induced Vibrations, Dynamic Aeroelasticity, Vibration Control and Control Structure Interaction, Vehicle Dynamics, Modal Analysis and System Identification, MEMS and Smart Systems are also areas proposed to be included in the technical sessions.

In view of the convergence in the discipline areas covered by the two conferences, a harmonious fusion of technical sessions is planned. Additionally, papers opted by authors and approved by reviewers for journal publication will be published in "Advances in Vibration Engineering" - a quarterly journal of The Vibration Institute of India.

Who will attend?
The conference is expected to attract more than 150 delegates from national and international bodies interested in the fields of vibration, condition monitoring, diagnostics and prognostics, systems integration and IT, asset maintenance and maintenance.
