The Women’s Association at IIT Kanpur organized a delightful Lohri and Makar Sankranti Celebration on Sunday, 12th January, at the Marriage Ground, Type 2 CC, and it turned out to be a day filled with fun, laughter, and cherished memories for families.

The event brought together families from across the campus to celebrate the festive spirit of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. It was a family-friendly gathering where attendees enjoyed a variety of sporting activities such as cricket, tug-of-war, kite flying, and more. Children were particularly thrilled by the bouncy castle, which added an extra dose of joy to their day.

The highlight of the celebration was the authentic traditional lunch, which received great appreciation from everyone present.

The event fostered camaraderie and community bonding, with families coming together to celebrate and enjoy the cultural richness of these festivals.
