In this segment there are four types of arts involve which are: -

o   Gadhva- This art is purely based on hand skill. An artisan from this field makes every craft without using any kind of mechanical instrument. This craft takes time to complete an artifact. Artisans form this craft type specially makes statues of god and goddess of India.

o   Carving- In this craft craftsmen make carving with the help of machines or by hand tools. This art is also very much appreciated because after this art on any wooden object it becomes very beautiful. In past time craftsmen used elephant teeth to carve but present days due to non-availability of the elephant teeth craftsmen use other woods like Sandal wood or Kaima wood. Crafts made through this used to decorate the house.

o   Pattern- In this craft Varanasi artisans used to make small statues of the musicians which belongs from Rajasthan. To make this craft artisans use to joint every part of the body separately. They also make statues of god and goddess by using the same process first make every part of the body separate and then joint them.

o   Lathe- In this craft artisans uses a mechanical machine called turning machine or lathe machine. Artisans uses the same machine to turn the wooden object and while turning the wooden object they use some kind of hand tools to peel the wood to get desired shape. This work is very fast and presently many of the toys found in the market made through the same craft.
