DUTIES:
The nature has blessed the campus with
an exceptional green cover that has not only been preserved
assiduously for past four decades but also developed further
thro' intensive plantation drives every year. The Institute
has one of the finest nurseries in the town that meets the
requirement of the campus for seasonal as well as all-season
flowers, bushes, hedges and shady trees of all verities etc.
The campus has a vast expanse of manicured lawns in important
locations such as Academic Area, Auditorium, Visitor's Hostel,
Director's Bungalow, Out Reach, VFA, Halls of Residences for
Boys' and Girls' etc. The residents of the campus also take
great care to maintain beautiful lawns around their respective
houses. Every year in the month of Feb. institute organizes
flower show among residents and hostels.
The Horticulture development & maintenance is organized
under the able leadership of Shri. S. K. Singh who holds a
graduate in Agriculture.
IWD has drawn up ambitious plans to upgrade the landscape
of the campus in the coming years.
