The Legacy Project – Class of 1986
A Legacy Project is our batch’s special initiative during the reunion—created for the betterment of IIT Kanpur and its community. It’s a meaningful way to honour our alma mater while building a lasting legacy that reflects our shared journey at IIT Kanpur.
I invite you to join me and our batchmates in supporting the Class of 1986 Legacy Project!
How will this work?
- All our contributions will go into the Class of 1986 Legacy Fund.
We will finalize the specific Legacy Project together through consensus within our batch.
- The IITK Development Foundation will keep us updated regularly on how our contributions are being used and the progress being made.
Tax Benefits
- For India Donors: Contributions are 100% tax-deductible under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
- For US Donors: Contributions are 100% tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.
- For Other Countries: Contributions are tax deductible as per country laws.
- You may also give through your company's Matching Grant Program. Please search for Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Foundation Inc. in your organisation's list of approved nonprofits.
