On behalf of the institute the students gymkhana organizes the following student festivals. All festivals are an annnual feature and finds huge student participation both, within and from other colleges.

ANTARAGNI : It is a inter-collegiate cultural festival in which students from all over india participate. It has been scheduled for the month of october-november 2003.
UDGHOSH : On similar lines of antaragni, udghosh is a national level sports meet. It has been scheduled for the month of november 2003.
UMANG : It is a week long SFS festival where major blockbusters and award winning movies are screened on the big screen. It has been scheduled for january 2004.
TECHKRITI : It is the annual Technological Festival of IIT Kanpur. Techkriti provides the forum for engineering talent to exhibit applications and devices, along with attending various workshops and lectures. Overrall, there is a tremendous opportunity for knowledge sharing and cross-fertilization of ideas. It has been scheduled for february 2004.
GALAXY : It is an institute level event where the various halls of residences vie for the coveted "Best Hall Of The Year" award. It has been scheduled for march-april 2004.
MEGABUCKS : It is an intercollegiate/international business plan event for the student community.
