Hall-1 Ki Baraat
Baraat is possibly the only of its kind in any of the campus .It is the way the “Bakaits” i.e. Hall-1 residents celebrate their Deepawali. The event is eagerly awaited by all hostels speacially Girls Hostel.
There is music, there is dance their are crackers & above all there is rain….not got it…. ya their is rain when the gals pour buckets of water on “Baratees”!
The most important is that the event depicts the freedom & dignity of mind which IITians have, the culture where there is no discrimination may be its caste, race, religion or sex.
