Instructions to Authors
Manuscript Submission:
The Manuscript is to be submittedthrough e-mail onlyin electronic PDF (.pdf) format
(regardless of the source of the word-processing tool) to the Chief executive
editor jbs@iitk.ac.in. There is no page limit. A list of 4 potential reviewers
should also be provided.
The manuscript should be typed double spaced on bond size paper (A4 size i.e
8.5”x11”) with 1.5” margins spacing on the left and 1” spacing on the right and
2” spacing on top and bottom .A soft copy should also be sent as an attachment.
Submission of a manuscript implies:

the work described has not been published before,
-
it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else,
-
its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any,
-
it is the authors' responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from
a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary
institution.
The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims
for compensation.
Title and Authorship Information:
The following information should be included

Abstract:
The manuscript should contain an abstract. The abstract should be self-contained
and citation-free and should not exceed 200 words.
Key words:
3-4 key words should be provided.
Introduction:
This section should be succinct, with no subheadings.
Acknowledgments:
All acknowledgments (if any) should be included at the very end of the paper
before the references and may include supporting grants, presentations, and so
forth.
References:
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is
complete and accurate. All references should be cited in the text, for e.g , Deo
and Chandra, (2005), Shukla et al ( 2006) for three and more authors.
In the reference list, cite the papers/ books in the alphabetical order by
surname. See for example below,

Preparation of Figures:
Each figure should be supplied in a separate electronic file. All figures should
be cited in the paper in a consecutive order. Figures should be supplied in
either vector art formats (Illustrator, EPS, WMF, FreeHand, CorelDraw,
PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) or bitmap formats (Photoshop, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.).
Bitmap images should be of 300 dpi resolution at least unless the resolution is
intentionally set to a lower level for scientific reasons. If a bitmap image has
labels, the image and labels should be embedded in separate layers.
Preparation of Tables:
Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a
descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be
included in the column heading. Vertical rules should not be used.
Peer Review:
All manuscripts are subject to peer review and are expected to meet standards of
academic excellence. Submissions will be considered by an associate editor and/
or by peer-reviewers, whose identities will remain anonymous to the authors.
Copyright Information:
Copyright of the paper must be transferred to the journal. However, the author
retains rights for large number of author uses (but not for commercial
purposes), including use by employing institute or company. These rights are
retained and permitted without the need to obtain specific permission from the
journal.
