Who we look for

Undergrads, Grads, PhD, PostDocs, or Technicians

We are sincerely working with the objective of comprehending various physical phenomenon, and providing solutions to several interesting issues related to them, using cutting edge scientific research tools. In this pursuit we need enthusiastic people like you.

Undergraduate students should come to us for internships. They will surely get a taste of research methods and culture while working with us on the problems that we are dealing currently. See what we are working on. It is a great way to learn how fundamental concepts -- you encountered in your classrooms -- get implemented in the real world. Write to us (mention your academic record and research interest).

Graduate students work in our lab to pursue their MTech. Once admitted to IIT Kanpur, via GATE rank, may join us for their MTech research on the unattempted sub-problems in an ongoing major research problem. However, if you are an industry, or scientific laboratory, sponsored applicant with own research idea, we welcome you with same spirit; write to us your idea and let’s see how we can go about it!

PhD students who join our lab, get a chance to work on an original challenging research problem. Their field of research may take them through different disciplines of engineering or science, which is where they get opportunity to collaborate with experts in the respective fields. Interested people should reach us. You may write to us about your own idea or topic, as well, and we will see how we can help you pursue the same!

PostDocs are most welcome into our group. IIT Kanpur boasts to have a descent post doctoral research scheme in India, and our lab will look forward to have you with us. You are free to work with us in any research problem of your interest, even one of our own, and publish qualitatively in peer journals. Check for the recent opening in Planetary Science!

Technicians having working knowledge and/or expertise in any kind of instruments, or engineering processes, should mail their CV to us. We are willing to call you over to work with us if it matches our current as well as future research needs. Don’t hesitate to write to us, and we will see how your skills may be use in our interest.
