The Nanosciences and Advanced Imaging
centres are a
state of the art facility and resources for
carrying out research activities in the area of nanotechnology. The major research emphasis of the
center is on developing easy, cost effective micro/Nano fabrication techniques for various energy,
environment and biological applications. Our current research focused on developing functional
nanomaterials and simple cost effective micro-nanofabrication techniques on large area to develop
real-time, parallel and portable ultra-sensitive sensing platforms for hazardous chemicals and bio-
molecules in biofluid such as blood, urine, and saliva. Real time detection is one of critical point
for rapid and accurate detection of chemical and bio molecules. In spite of the great advances,
current techniques for detection have limitations in real-time, sensitive and accurate detection. In
order to overcome those limitations, we apply plasmonic sensing technique. The plasmonic sensing
technique enable ultra-sensitive sensing of biomolecules in biofluid such as blood, urine, and
saliva. Also, this technique easily can be combined with advanced bio-, nano-, and micro-application
including biological analytic technique, nanofabrication, and micro fluidic chip. We are now
developing novel nano-technology for plasmonic bio-sensing which leads great innovation in
biomedical fields.
