Introduction:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) recently initiated a process where 26 dedicated volunteers with a spirit of service provided assistance at the IITK Shivani Center. The aim of this initiative was to enhance language translation efforts at the Shivani Center and provide assistance in various areas. In this report, we outline the essence of this dedication initiative and highlight the valuable contributions made by the volunteers.
Background:
The IITK Shivani Center for Learning and Teaching at IIT Kanpur is a dynamic hub fostering innovative teaching methods, curriculum development, and faculty training. Established in memory of Shivani Agarwal, an esteemed alumna, the center promotes excellence in education through workshops, seminars, and research projects. It collaborates with faculty to enhance pedagogical practices, integrate technology, and create engaging learning environments. Additionally, the center supports student success through academic advising and mentoring programs . However, the IITK community felt the need for more assistance in providing better service.
