About the Conference

SCOPE–2025 is a three-day international conference hosted by the Centre for Environmental Science and Engineering in association with department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur, uniting global experts, researchers, industry persons, and policymakers to address critical challenges in water and environmental sustainability. As the inaugural edition of a planned conference series, SCOPE 2025 focuses on the theme “Reimagining Water Futures: Circularity, Smart Systems, and Sustainable Services.” It will feature keynotes, technical sessions, student innovations, and side events, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and impactful dialogue to shape future sustainability practices and environmental policies worldwide.

Registration is Open        

Researchers, practitioners, and students are invited to submit abstracts aligned with the conference themes. All accepted abstracts will be scheduled for oral or poster presentation.

Selected papers will be published as Scopus-indexed book chapters in the conference proceedings and may also be considered for publication in reputed Scopus or SCI International Water Association (IWA) journals.

Proceeding Publication Partner

Selected full-length, original research articles are likely to be considered for springer publication in conference proceedings as book volumes in Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering.

Select papers from the conference will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published.
We do not publish abstracts or extended abstracts. We only publish full papers. We only publish original articles with new outcomes in proceedings, no review articles, no interview based questionnaire papers and no literature survey articles are accepted.
Springer Nature does not charge any money for publication of Non-Open Access content. Abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers (less than 4 pages) are not considered for publication.

Registration Process

Participation is open to researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, students, and academicians.

We are offering registration fee waivers exclusively for students attending SCOPE 2025. Based on the Apex Committee’s evaluation, students may be granted a partial waiver (25%, 50%, or 75%), a full waiver, or no waiver. The decision will depend on factors such as financial support, accommodation needs, and purpose of participation. The committee’s decision will be final and cannot be appealed.
