The existing coverage highlights Prof. Kumar’s perspective on the IIT Kanpur–La Trobe Research Academy, reinforcing the partnership while highlighting the broader research collaboration and the significance of Ani’s appointment.
We were pleased to welcome Prof. Nick Bisley, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research), and Dr. Cerasela Tanasescu, Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, La Trobe University, Australia, to IIT Kanpur as part of the ongoing IITK–La Trobe Research Academy collaboration.

The visit focused on strengthening institutional partnerships through the Joint Degree Programme, student exchanges, and new academic and research opportunities. The delegation also visited the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur, and interacted with incubated startups to explore opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization.
Professor Ashok Kumar has assumed the role of Director, while Professor Raju Kumar Gupta has taken charge as the Academic Program Director.
