Getting to IITK

Kanpur has an airport. SpiceJet is operating direct flights from many major cities. It takes nearly 1 hour to reach IIT Kanpur from the Kanpur airport. Alternatively, one may choose to fly to Lucknow, which is a major airport and connections are available to all major cities in India. It takes about 2 hrs to reach IIT Kanpur from Lucknow airport. 

Where to Stay

We recommend the participants to stay within the IIT Kanpur campus. Faculty participants, teachers and industry participants may choose to stay at the Visitors Hostel (See link). Students will be provided accommodation in Students’ Hostels within the campus. 

However, participants may prefer to stay in hotels in the Kanpur city. Organizers will be soon providing a list of hotels where the rates will be negotiated for this meeting. A choice of your stay has to be given during the registration process. The room allocation will be based on the first-cum-first-serve basis.”

Weather and Ambiance

At all times the campus is a beautiful quiet place away from the hustle bustle of Kanpur city. The weather at Kanpur during July will be hot (26-33 deg. C) and humid, with intermittent rains.
