Prof. Yogesh Singh Chauhan

Yogesh Singh Chauhan is an associate professor at IIT Kanpur, India. He was with SRDC at IBM in 2007–2010, TIT Japan in 2010 and UC Berkeley in 2010-2012. He is the lead developer of BSIM-BULK (BSIM6) model and co-developer of ASM-HEMT model for GaN HEMTs. He is the Editor of IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices and Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Electron Devices Society. He received Ramanujan fellowship in 2012, IBM faculty award in 2013 and P. K. Kelkar fellowship in 2015.

Current Developers

Sudip Ghosh (Ph.D.)

Sudip received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Bordeaux-1, France, in 2012 and his M.Sc. degree in Physics from Jadavpur University, India, in 2008. He was a Guest Researcher with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark, in 2013. He was a recipient of the prestigious SERB Young Scientist Fellowship in 2016 and is currently pursuing research at the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur, India. His current research interests include TCAD device simulation, compact modeling, parameter extraction and characterization of GaN HEMTs and other advanced semiconductor devices.

Sheikh Aamir Ahsan (Ph.D.)

Aamir did his B. Tech from National Institute of Technology Jaipur in 2011 and received the accelerated PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in December 2017. He is currently a faculty member at NIT Srinagar where he has been serving as an assistant professor since 2018. He is one of the co-developers of the Advanced SPICE Model for GaN HEMTs which was chosen as an Industry Standard for state of the art GaN devices by the Compact Model Coalition. His current research interests include theoretical modeling and characterization of advanced nanoelectronic devices.

Avirup Dasgupta (Ph.D.)

Avirup received his Ph.D., M.Tech and B.Tech degrees from IIT Kanpur. His research interests include semiconductor material and device physics. He has been working as a developer for the BSIM and the ASM groups. Avirup has multiple publications, awards and scholarships to his name. He has been certified as a National Talent Scholar 2008; was in the top 0.0004% in IITJEE 2009 (AIR: 155) and was selected for the Indian National Physics Olympiad, 2008 (top 1% ) as well as the Indian National Chemistry Olympiad, 2008 (top 10%). Avirup will be joining the BSIM group at UC Berkeley in August, 2018.

Raghvendra Dangi

Raghvendra received his bachelors degree in electronics and communications engineering from IET-DAVV Indore in 2014 and his masters in VLSI design from VNIT Nagpur in 2016. He also served as a project engineer at IIT Kanpur from August 2016 - July 2017 and was focused on the development of the ASM-HEMT model. As a research scholar at IIT Kanpur, he is working on the characterization, simulation, and modeling of GaN-HEMT devices.

Ahtisham Ul Haq Pampori

Ahtisham is a doctoral student at IIT Kanpur, currently working on the characterization and modeling of GaN HEMT RF devices. His research focus embodies both modeling the devices and their applications in RF systems. Before joining IIT Kanpur, he served as an associate consultant at Frost & Sullivan in Malaysia with a particular focus on Cloud and Big Data verticals. He holds his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from NIT Srinagar. Being a denizen of the Himalayas, he is highly inclined towards hiking , exploring new places and assimilating new cultures.
