Business Advisory:
The SIIC shall be managed by trained and expert staff to support the incubated companies. The experts in specific domains like accounting, IP, legal will be retained as Consultants/Advisors. The incubated companies can avail their services. Any direct services provided to an incubatee would have to be paid for by the incubatee to the service provider. SIIC will also provide soft infrastructure and business services to the incubated companies.
Business Plan development:
The students of MBA program of IIT Kanpur along with a management consultant help incubatee companies to strengthen their business plan after conducting market surveys, if required, and financial plan.
Business Promotion :
SIIC helps finding business partners & venture capitalists and provide consultancy on business promotion with the help of the MBA students & faculty of IITK and consultants.
Mentoring :
A faculty member of IITK mentors and closely monitors product development of the incubatee company.
Legal Experts:
SIIC has a panel of highly qualified legal experts which advise the companies at our centre in their legal matters.
Technology Transfer and Patent:
SIIC plays a vital role in preserving knowledge in the form of Intellectual Property. It acts as a Technology Transfer Office of the Institute and provides professional aid to the IITK Faculty and students for filing patents and copyrights. However, SIIC facilitates the use of IITK IP if desired by a start-up. The terms and conditions for such IP licensing are decided by the Institute.
