One of our batch mates (IITK 1982, year of joining batch) has been afflicted with a disabling chronic and severe mental disorder. To respect the privacy of the batchmate we are not revealing the name. While we are helping the batch mate to be strong and combat the illness, there is also a need for financial support. There are expenses related to his treatment and for supporting his family, that need to be met regularly.

We are therefore requesting help from our batch mates to come forward and contribute to this fund. At present, we expect the requirement to exist until 2024. . This will help meet the expenses. Through the generous contributions of our batch mates we hope to make this effort a sustainable one, with each batch mate sharing an easy to absorb load. Thank you.
