Prof. Aditya K. JagannathamProf. Aditya K. Jagannatham is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at IIT Kanpur, where he holds the Arun Kumar Chair Professorship. He is one of India’s best-known experts and trainers on 5G technology. He received his Bachelors degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, San Diego, U.S.A. From April '07 to May '09 he was employed as a senior wireless systems engineer at Qualcomm, San Diego, California, where he was a part of the Qualcomm CDMA technologies (QCT) division. His research interests are in the area of next generation wireless networks, with a special emphasis on various 5G technologies such as massive MIMO, mmWave MIMO, FBMC, NOMA, Full Duplex and others. |
Dr. Shashidhar VummintalaDr. Shashidhar Vummintala obtained his Masters and PhD from ECE department, IISc, Bangalore in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Since then, he has been involved in various transceiver design efforts for 4G technologies at Beceem Communications, Broadcom and Qualcomm. Currently, he is Director of Engineering at Qualcomm Bangalore, leading the 4G efforts in Qualcomm India. His research interests include MIMO signal processing and error correction codes. |
Dr. Tanumay DattaDr. Tanumay Datta is currently working as Engineer, Staff in Wireless R&D, Qualcomm Bangalore. He received his PhD degree from Electrical Communication Engineering department, Indian Institute of Science in 2014. Previously he has worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Centrale Supelec, France. His work experience and research interests include 5G technologies, massive MIMO, detection algorithms, and advanced modulation techniques. |
Dr. Bama MuthuramalingamDr. Bama Muthuramalingam did her B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.E. in Wireless Technology at the Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai in 2003 and 2005 respectively. She then pursued PhD degree at the department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras from 2005 to 2011. Her thesis focused on maximizing the capacity of half duplex wireless networks. She has an industrial career spanning 8+ years working for companies like Tata Elxsi and Qualcomm where she was involved in the design and development of various Wireless transceiver chipsets. She possess a rich wireless system design expertise by working on Technologies like UMTS, LTE, and IEEE 802.11ax. She was also a faculty member at Amrita University, Kollam, for a brief period, Jan-Nov 2017. Currently, she is a Staff Engineer with the WLAN Systems team at the Quaclomm Chennai Design Center. |
