How to Reach

By Air

• The nearest international airport is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow, around 90 km from IIT Kanpur (about 2.5 hours by road). Prepaid taxis and Ola outstation cabs are available at the airport.
• Kanpur Airport, roughly 25 km from campus (about 1 hour), has limited flight connectivity, along with local cab services.
• Delhi Airport, around 450 km away, connects to major domestic and international destinations, with frequent onward train and flight options to Kanpur.

By Train

• Kanpur Central Railway Station, on the Delhi–Kolkata line, is well connected to most major cities.
• IIT Kanpur is about 16 km from Kanpur Central. The Kanpur Metro connects the station to campus in around 25 minutes, or you can take a taxi (about 40 minutes) or auto-rickshaw.
• Approved taxi operators can be arranged through the department office; for Ola/Uber-type services, both are available in Kanpur.

Kanpur Metro

Metro services run between Kanpur Central and IIT Kanpur from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, with trains roughly every 15 minutes from the underground metro station at Kanpur Central (near Platform 9). For further details, visit the UPMRC official website.

Arrival on Campus

On reaching the IIT Kanpur Main Gate, please stop at the security checkpoint and inform the security personnel that you are visiting the campus to attend the conference. They will guide you further. The venue is approximately 2 km from the main entrance.
