Visitors’ Hostel
Situated next to the academic area, VH is one of the first buildings to come up in the campus. Presently it has 67 standard AC rooms, which can accommodate 134 guests on twin sharing basis. It has 15 AC deluxe rooms, which consists of a living room, a bedroom with a small kitchenette. All the rooms are fully furnished with all the modern amenities.
Visitors Hostel – 2
Extension of Visitors’ Hostel, named as Visitor Hostel-2(VH-2), came up in 2018. It has 85 standard AC rooms, which can accommodate 170 guests on twin sharing basis. It also has 18 Deluxe AC rooms, consisting of a living room, a bedroom with a small kitchenette. All the rooms are fully furnished with all the modern amenities. A dining facility for approximately 90 people and a meeting room for 25 people are attached to VH-2 for the convenience of the residents. All booking is done through VH room reservation office, IITK.
Visiting Faculty Apartments
In 2003, 12 Visiting Faculty Apartments were made to accommodate long-stay faculty, visiting with family. Eight of these are two bedrooms, and four are three bedroom apartments. The apartments are fully furnished and fully equipped with necessary amenities.
Outreach Center Noida
Outreach Center, at Sector-62, Noida, was built up in 2015 to accommodate the meetings and conferences outside IITK campus. It has two blocks. All booking is done through VH room reservation office, IITK.
1. The Guest House Block - consists of the following facilities:
- Meeting (8 persons)
- Conference room (16 persons)
- Office spaces ( one office and one meeting room, capacity 10 persons)
- Two (2) class rooms (capacity 25 persons each)
- Thirty two (32) S-type (two independent beds) rooms
- Five (5) D-type (double bed) rooms
- Dining Hall and kitchen ( for 100 persons)
- Reception / Guest house lobby
The above facilities are fully air-conditioned and have telephone and internet connectivity. All guest rooms have well furnished arrangements with furniture, wardrobe and luggage storage space, TV, refrigerator, electric kettle, cups etc. The bed room has attached toilet/bath and the drawing room has a small pantry with a dining table. All rooms are fitted with card locks which shall be used as a master switch also for putting room electrical power on and off.
The staff at the reception and housekeeping is available round the clock for check-in and check-out. The dining hall facility is available for serving breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The room rent is inclusive of complimentary breakfast and bed tea. Open parking space is available.
2. The Service Block - houses arrangements for Electrical (with DG set back up) and water supply and a dormitory for drivers/attendants.
