ONE Media 3.0, headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland, USA, is a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. It aims to build and globally deploy the Next Generation Broadcast Platform, enabling broadcasters to be competitive across all platforms in delivering enhanced video and data services.
The Next Generation Broadcasting Chair is open to faculty from the departments of engineering.
Prof. Adrish Banerjee, Department of Electrical Engineering, research interests are in the physical layer aspects of communications, particularly theory and applications of error control coding, molecular communications, and broadcasting. Prof. Banerjee has been actively involved in projects related to 5G. He is the recipient of prestigious awards and honors such as IETE-Prof. K. Sreenivasan Memorial Award (2016), P. K. Kelkar Research Fellowship, IIT Kanpur (2013-16), Institute of Engineers India Young Engineer Award, Microsoft Research India Outstanding Young Faculty Award (2009). Prof. Banerjee earned his doctorate from the University of Notre Dame, USA in 2003.
