Sonu Agrawal Memorial Chair
In loving memory of Mr. Sonu Agarwal, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, his batchmates launched a campaign to institute a faculty chair in his name. Following his untimely passing, his batchmates came together to establish this chair as a lasting tribute to his life and contributions.

Prof. Arun Shukla

Prof. Arun Shukla from the Department of Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, IIT Kanpur, has research interests in G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), a key class of cell surface receptors involved in vital functions like vision, cardiovascular regulation, and immune response. Nearly half of all prescribed drugs target these receptors. His research aims to understand their structure and function to develop safer, more effective therapeutics. Dr. Shukla has made significant contributions to GPCR biology at IIT Kanpur. He holds an M.Sc. from JNU and a Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Germany.
