Prof R N Biswas Young Faculty Fellowship in Teaching Excellence
The Prof. R.N. Biswas Faculty Chair in Teaching Excellence has been established by IITK alumni to recognize faculty members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to undergraduate teaching and to encourage innovation in pedagogy. Prof. R. N. Biswas was born in 1939 and obtained his B.Sc degree with Physics Honours in 1957 from Presidency College, University of Calcutta. He pursued MSc.(Tech) from Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta in 1960. He completed his PhD in 1966 from University of California at Berkeley in Electronic Circuits. He joined llT Kanpur in 1967 as an Assistant Professor and he is one of the most respected, honoured, and idolized professors of the Institute.

Prof. Suparno Mukhopadhyay

Prof. Suparno Mukhopadhyay from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur, has research interests in structural identification and health monitoring, structural dynamics and earthquake engineering. He earned his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, Master's from IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University.

Prof. Dootika Vats

Prof. Dootika Vats from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur, has research interests in Markov chain monte carlo, monte carlo, bayesian computation, bayesian statistics. She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Minnesota, and a Master's in Statistics from Rutgers University.
