Dr. Mahua Menon and Mr. Ranodeb Roy Young Faculty Research Fellowship

Mr. Ranodeb Roy (BT/CSE/1990) is the co-founder and CEO of RV Capital Management Private Limited, an asset management company based in Singapore. Mr. Roy has over 28 years of global Financial Markets experience. Prior to setting up RV Capital, a company he founded in November 2011, Mr. Roy was Managing Director & Head of Fixed Income Asia Pacific at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong. He has also worked in Merrill Lynch Hong Kong as Managing Director & Co-Head of Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (FICC) group in 2007, and also held various senior positions in Merrill Lynch across major locations including New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Mr. Roy started his career at Bank of America, Mumbai in 1992. Mr. Roy instituted Dr. Mahua Menon and Mr. Ranodeb Roy Young Faculty Research Fellowship that is open to faculty of all the departments of sciences and engineering .

Prof. Manjesh Kumar Singh

(Sep. 2024- Sep. 2027)

Dr. Manjesh Kumar Singh is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. His research interests are tribology, soft matter and rheology and specializes in both computer simulations and experiments. After completing BE in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology Shibpur in 2009, he pursued ME in Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, India in 2011 and completed Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2016. Thereafter, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Polymer Theory Department of Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany during 2016-2019. He joined IIT Kanpur in September 2019 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has been recipient of multiple scholarship/fellowships to attend international conferences and meetings. He received Young Tribologist award from Tribology Society of India in 2022.

Dr.Mohammed Ibrahim Sugarno

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Sugarno is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur. His research interests and expertise are in experimental hypersonic aerodynamics. He has been awarded scholarships and fellowships during doctoral and post-doctoral research period which enabled him to travel abroad and carryout research activities in both academic and research institutes in Australia, Japan and Germany. He obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
