Dr. Saurabh Kumar Tiwary

Dr. Saurabh Tiwary is the Vice President and General Manager of Cloud AI at Google, where he leads the organization responsible for some of the most innovative and impactful AI products and platforms in the world. His portfolio includes Vertex AI, a comprehensive platform for building and deploying AI models, as well as popular tools like Kaggle, Colab, Apigee, and Appsheet. Dr. Saurabh is at the forefront of Google's mission to responsibly apply AI to solve real-world problems and transform industries. He and his team partner closely with Google DeepMind to improve Gemini and other AI models and bring it to external customers across the globe.

Profile

Dr. Saurabh is a recognized leader in the AI field. Prior to his current role, he had a distinguished career at Microsoft, where he was a Corporate Vice President and Technical Fellow. There, he was instrumental in the company's AI transformation, leading the Microsoft Turing group, advising the Microsoft Ventures Fund (M12) on AI investments, and leading Microsoft's technical partnership with OpenAI.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, a Master of Science and a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. In 2024, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by his alma mater, IIT Kanpur, for his exceptional contributions to AI innovation and leadership in the tech industry.
