Prof. Pulkit Agrawal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, where he directs the Improbable AI Lab. His research focuses on robotics and learning methods for control, making significant advancements in these fields. Prof. Agrawal’s contributions have been widely recognized, including the Best Paper Award at the Conference on Robot Learning 2021 for his work on in-hand object re-orientation and the Best Student Paper Award at the Conference on Computer Supported Collaborative Learning 2011. His accolades also include the IEEE Early Career Award in Robotics and Automation, Sony Faculty Research Award, Salesforce Research Award, Amazon Research Award, and a Fulbright fellowship.

Before joining MIT, Prof. Agrawal earned his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2011, where he was awarded the Director’s Gold Medal.
