The SMSS lab at IIT kanpur is looking for mechatronics, Manufacturing engineer to create, design and contribute to the lab research in robotics and hardware systems. The candidate should send a resume along with a short write-up covering his skills and interest areas to bishakhbiitk@gmail.com. Selected individuals will be interviewed. The desired qualifications for any potential candidates should be the following:
 Mechatronics Engineer |
- Strong academic record with sound technical knowledge of electronics, embedded system,circuits, transistors, wireless communications etc.
- Previous project experience on arduino, raspberry pi and related microcontroller systems.
- Applicants with mechatronics/robotics expereince will be preferred.
- The applicant should be able to write code in C++/python.
- Design and implement new circuits and PCB
- He/She should be able to work with MATLAB/labview and develop new communication systems to integrate multiple subsystems together.
- The applicant should be able to work in a dynamic environment with a passion to build new system technologies.
- A prior experience with signal processing will be considered an advantage.

Manufacturing Engineer |
- The candidate has a degree in mechanical/ manufacturing/materials engineering.
- With basic knowledge of mechanical design and different manufacturing practices.
- Should have good understanding of procuring materials and prototyping.
- Applicants with prior experience in the manufacturing industry with material sourcing will be preferred.
- The applicant should have CAD/CAM knowledge
- He/she must have in-depth knowledge of material properties for metals, plastics etc.
- The applicant should be able to work in a dynamic environment with a passion to build new system technologies.
