1. New memberships:
A New Membership Drive is being carried out. However, there has been slow progress on the renewals and it stands at 17 now. Many f the old members are yet to renew. Some of tehm might have renewed with our Bangalore Chapter. We are also hoping to be able increase membership through the planned Conferences and Workshops during the Year
2. Proposals under consideration of SID-India Chapter
Request for co-sponsoring the following events are under consideration and wil be decided in the next meeting :
- Summer Workshop on Organic Electronics at IIT Kanpur in July 10-16 to be organized by Samtel Centre for Display Technologies.
- Request to co-sponsor “Displays & Lighting’ symposia within the International Workshop on Physics of Semiconductors (IWPSD 2011) to be held in Kanpur from Dec.18-22, 2011.
- Request to co-sponsor 'International conference on Luminescence and its applications' (ICLA) to be held in Hyderabad in February 2012.
- A proposal to institute an annual award for Best Dissertation on Displays and Lighting submitted and accepted to any Inidan University or Institute.
