Technical Qualifications:   

  • Ph. D on underground works of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited titled as “Geotechnical Evaluation of Delhi Metro Tunnels” from IIT Delhi in year 2005.
  • Master of Engineering, First with Honours  in 1989 from university of Roorkee.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), First with Honours in 1987 from university of Roorkee.

 

Experience:

  • Twenty-eight years of distinguished professional experience. Has thoroughly worked in all stages of projects (i.e. from concept to commissioning) and successfully got implemented prestigious projects with challenging technical and difficult natural terrains. Held prestigious posts in Indian Railways, Delhi Metro, Mumbai Metro, Bengluru Metro and Kolkata Metro. Has been instrumental in successful transfer of technology and indigenisation, to the extent possible, while executing India’s first state of the art, modern metro project, incorporating international standards (Delhi Metro Phase-I, yellow Line-2). Gained experience in design of all aspect of infrastructres i.e. concept to detailed design for underground structures, foundations for above ground structures and all type structures for Metro works. In addition, acquired Ph. D on underground works of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited titled as “Geotechnical Evaluation of Delhi Metro Tunnels” from IIT Delhi in year 2005 while executing the underground works of Delhi Metro. All the above commendable works have been duly acknowledged and appreciated by senior most officers in the various organisations from time to time.
  • Has worked in close coordination with JICA and got prepared wholesome Joint Feasibility Final Study for Mumbai - Ahmedabad High Speed Railway Corridor. The fundamental contributions for this study include areas such as Survey, Satellite imagery, GPRS survey, Planning norms and design parameters, General arrangement of all types of structures, station locations, integration with existing modes of transports, assessment of needs of future city demographic expansion & growth and inclusion of future needs in design saturation year in the present planning itself. Joint Feasibility Final Study has been approved and accepted jointly by Govt. of India and Govt. of Japan for execution. The project is under execution..

 

  • All requisite experiences required pertaining to execution of complex projects, which involves vivid and complex  technology, is available with the undersigned in the form of relevant basic skills in latest construction techniques used in execution of structures such as at-grade/surface formation on high embankments, portal structures in transition from underground to surface, elevated viaduct structures, elevated stations, tunnels, underground station structures executed by standard and sequential techniques of cut & cover (top down, bottom up, mixed and enlargement of tunnels), use of tunnel boring machines, New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) etc., for infrastructure project like MRTS and Indian Railways.

 

Has impeccable competency in all stages of implementation of a project such as planning, technical feasibility, detail project report, all aspect of detail design for all type of Railway structures i.e. Tunnels, cut and cover tunnels/Stations, Viaduct, all type of foundations, viaduct substructures and superstructures etc.
