The academic programme of the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering aims at a paradigm shift in education; by imparting sector-based knowledge, wherein concepts of several core disciplines are blended to provide an appropriate skill-set to its students.

- Master of Technology (M.Tech.)
- Master of Science by Research M.S.(R)
- B.Tech. - M.Tech. Dual degree (for B.Tech students in other departments)

Department invites applications from motivated applicants for admissions into its graduate programmes.
Students from diverese backgrounds like Electrical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Chemical Engg., Materials Science & Engg., Chemistry, Physics and other allied engineering and science disciplines can apply.
Students with B.Tech. (/B.E.), M.Tech. (/M.E.), M.S.(R) & M.Sc degree can apply. Equivalent degrees will also be considered.

Overview:
This interdisciplinary programme equips students with technical, ethical, and AI-driven expertise to design innovative solutions for global sustainability challenges. With hands-on learning and a global outlook, students will be prepared for impactful careers in industry, government, international organisations, startups, and corporate ESG groups. Master’s projects will also strengthen KSS’s research ecosystem.
Career Pathways:
Graduates can pursue roles as senior executives, policy makers, urban planners, engineers, architects, real estate professionals, forecasters, sustainability managers, social scientists, and data scientists.

B.Tech. in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Sustainable Energy, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, Data Science; M.Sc. in Physics, Maths & Statistics, Atmospheric/Climate Sciences; or Economic Sciences
