Matt Abrahams is a globally acknowledged trainer and teacher on communication and organizational behavior, at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In the online session on “Tools and techniques for effective communication”, Matt touched upon many relevant and highly pertinent issues on good communication. The session was jointly chaired by Mr. Rahul Mehta, The Bhupat & Jyoti Mehta Family Foundation; and Prof. Nitin Gupta, IIT Kanpur. In an interesting deviation from earlier Dialogue series, we had Mr. Michael Takagawa, Founder and CEO of Corporate Edge, a leadership consulting firm pose very relevant and interesting questions for Matt to answer.

Dr. Nitish Thakor is a professor of Biomedical Engineering and Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, and went on to earn both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Cryo-EM and AI: A paradigm shift in structural biology
The fifth event of the MFCEM Dialogues was held on the 20th July 2022 over a Zoom discussion with Prof Sriram Subramaniam, University of British Columbia, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He holds the Gobind Khorana Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Precision Cancer Drug Design. Prof Subramaniam delivered a talk titled “Cryo-EM and AI: A paradigm shift in structural biology”. Prof. Subramaniam is globally recognized for his pathbreaking contributions in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM)—he was the first to demonstrate atomic resolution cryo-EM of proteins and small molecule interactions, and ultimately use of cryo-EM in precision medicine.
